Copyright © 2025 Allolio Group. All rights reserved.

License
Unless specified otherwise, software developed by Allolio Group is made available under the Academic Software License (ASL):
Preamble
The Academic Software License (“ASL”) is designed to promote academic cooperation and the free exchange of ideas within a non-commercial academic setting. The ASL grants broad rights to use, modify, and share the software for academic research, education, and non-commercial purposes, while reserving commercial rights to the copyright holders. Revenue generated from commercial licensing typically supports further research and academic activities.
The ASL is a reciprocal license inspired by the GNU General Public License (GPL) but limited strictly to non-commercial academic use. Any redistribution or derivative works must be licensed under the same terms, with source code provided and the ASL license made clear to recipients.
Please note: The ASL is not an open-source license in the traditional sense, as it restricts commercial use. It is instead an “available source” license aimed at academic collaboration.
Key Terms
Non-commercial use only: You may use, modify, and distribute the software for academic research and teaching purposes. Commercial use is prohibited without prior written permission.
Reciprocity: Any modifications or derivative works must also be shared under the ASL and must include the original source code or modifications.
Source Availability: Source code must remain available under the same license when redistributed.
Commercial Use: For commercial licensing inquiries, please contact [Contact Information or Tech Transfer Office].
Third-party Software
Where software incorporates code from other authors or projects, it is subject to the licenses specified by the original authors. Users are responsible for complying with all applicable third-party license terms.
