The meeting takes place in the Karlin building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University.

This building is near the Prague center and is easily reachable by public transport from any part of Prague.

  • Metro station: Křížíkova – yellow line "B"

Tickets can be bought in PID information centers within the airport (Terminal 1, Terminal 2), in newsstands/tobacconists all over the city or in yellow machines at the bus stops and in metro stations (however you would need Czech coins in this case).

Prague Airport


The Prague Airport (Václav Havel Airport Prague, Ruzyně) has two terminals: Terminal 1 (Inter-Continental flights including flights to the United Kingdom, Ireland, North America (USA, Canada), Middle-East, Africa and Asia) and Terminal 2 (Flights within the EU Schengen Agreement member countries and other European destinations).

For the quickest transport to the city centre or the nearest metro station (airport is not directly accessible by train or metro) using public transport, take either bus no. 59 or no. 100:

  • bus 59: Airport ↔ Metro A, station "Nádraží Veleslavín".
  • bus 100: Airport ↔ Metro B "Zličín".

You can of course also take a taxi or Uber.

Purpose

A conference to celebrate non-equilibrium thermodynamics, as well as the 85th birthday of Miroslav Grmela

Registration and payment

The meetings' fee will be 200 Euro per person and it covers the venue rent, coffee breaks, two lunches, and the social dinner (Thursday).
