About STOR-i ~~~~~~~~~~~ STOR-i, the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Statistics and Operational Research in partnership with Industry, is a pioneering 4 year PhD programme established in 2010. Using industrial challenge as the catalyst for mathematical innovation the Centre will develop future international research leaders. Industrial partners include AstraZeneca, BT, IBM, Shell and SSE. For October 2014 entry we have fully-funded studentships available for EU nationals which include tuition and a tax-free enhanced maintenance grant of up to £15,726 (based on 2012-13 figures, subject to meeting eligibility criteria). For those students working on industrially related PhDs, this will increase to £18,726 equating to a competitive graduate salary.
