A N G E N E R, version 3.1

DESCRIPTION OF ANGENER

ANGENER is a fortran source package able to generate triangulations, which can be used for different numerical methods, for example finite volume method, finite element method, etc. It performs two main tasks:

1) It generates a uniform triangulation (formed by equal equilateral triangles) with prescribed number of elements.

2) If a solution of a given problem reached on a given triangulation is available, then ANGENER creates an anisotropic triangulation, where better solution can be reached.

The algorithm is base on the Anisotropic Mesh Adaptation (AMA) algorithm. Some examples of use of ANGENER can be viewed at examples.

DOWNLOADING AND INSTALATION

ANGENER can be easy install on unix machines, where translator f77 is presented. This numerical solver is freely avaiable for noncomercial use at this web side. The user is able to download the packed file clicking on the icon.

We kindly ask you to send a simple e-mail

containing your name, institution, address and e-mail to the author to the address dolejsi@karlin.mff.cuni.cz. This information is only for the statistical use of the author. We also add your e-mail address to the list of ANGENER-users and we will inform you about all changes of the code.

You download the file angener3.1.tar.gz

To unpack it, use the commands

gunzip angener3.1.tar.gz
tar xf angener3.1.tar

Then a directory angener3.1/ containing all files is created. It contains 25 diferent files, one of them is manual.ps, where the full desribtion of the algorithm and the code ANGENER can be found.
