Basic Information

o The place


The school will for the first time take place in the beautiful countryside of "Posazavi" (= "near the Sazava river") region,
in Sport Hotel Kacov (60 kilometers south-east of Prague).

There are good facilities and conditions for sporting activities, as hiking, swimming in the hotel pool, playing volleyball, basketball, tennis, football. Mini-golfists and lovers of petanque, cricket, softball or table tennis will be satisfied, too. There is sauna located within the hotel.


o Travel information


Special bus from Prague to Kacov and back is a part of the conference service. The bus from Prague to Kacov will leave on Friday, May 22, 2009, at 17:00, and return to Prague on Friday, May 29, 2009 at around 10:00. More details on the schedule and arrival to/departure from Kacov will be given on the "Further information" page.

Driving directions:    
1. Leave Prague on the D1 highway, direction Brno (south-east). Exit this highway (by turning "left") on the Exit 49 (which means it is 49 km from Prague). Continue on the regular road no. 125, direction Kacov, Kutna Hora. 2. Continue on road no. 125 for approximately 4.5 km, then there is the possibility to turn right to Kacov. Do not use this road and continue straight for another 50 m, then turn left to the small local road, direction to "Sporthotel Kacov". 3.  After another 300 meters you should be near the hotel. The whole distance from the borders of Prague to Sporthotel Kacov is less than 60 km and you should cover it in around 40 minutes.



o Conference fee


The conference fee which covers accommodation (in the rooms for two or three people), full board (breakfast, lunch without drinks, dinner without drinks, 2 coffee breaks), conference materials, and transport between Prague and Kacov (and back), amounts to

10 000 CZK per participant
(or an equivalent in Euro).

The Czech and Slovak participats can download the detailed information on the structure of the fee ("rozpis konferencniho poplatku") here. In case you need even more detailed information or any confirmation of this kind., e.g. on the structure of the payment, please contact the organizers.

The students can apply for a reduced conference fee that amounts to 7 000 CZK (or an equivalent in Euro) - please contact the organizers. The payment of the conference fee should be made preferably by the direct bank transfer and the payment shoud be made before April 30, 2009. More details on the payment can be found below.

All payments must be free of bank charges to the receiver, i.e., all bank charges for effecting the international money transfer must be met by the remitter.
The participants are moreover asked to write the complete account name and number (including variable symbol) and the name and address of the bank in the payment order.

Please note that the number denoted by the "variable symbol" (306 60 8032) is important to us: it is internal identification code, distinguishing among all the conferences organized by the Charles university the right one. You can put this number into any part of the payment order which sounds like "payment details" or "reason for payment".


o Online registration


In case you are interested in participating at the school, you can register online (click on the "Registration" above) to the conference. You can also check the list of people, who have already registered (click on the "Participants" above). It could happen, however, that the registration script will not work on your computer for some reasons. In that case please send an email to mirko rokyta (at) mff.cuni.cz and we will send you the Registration Form by email. The registration was closed already due to the limited capacity of the hotel.

In case of any problem that could make your participation impossible please inform us immediately.


o Visa


If you need an official letter of a special kind to confirm your participation or you have any queries please contact us.

In particular, it is important to check whether you need or don't need visa to enter Czech Republic.
Please contact us immediately in case this is true, and you need some special letter from us.
